IBE PL EXTENDER AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL

 

Designed specifically for PL cine lenses, the PL focal length extender from German manufacturer IBE Optics is available for rental at French Production Service, in partnership with Sunsetcam. It offers a practical, efficient solution for doubling the focal length of a lens, while preserving equivalent image quality and minimizing f-stop loss (compensates for 2 f-stops).

 

The IBE Optics PL focal length extender, available for hire from French Production Service, acts as a transparent full-format focal length extender, integrating perfectly between the existing PL lens and the camera mount. This solution makes it possible to extend the focal range of a zoom lens, or increase the range of a long focal length, at the expense of two image exposure stops.

 

Compatible with most PL-mount digital cameras, the lenses must have a short optical block at the sensor end to be mounted on them. It is commonly used with high-end digital cinema cameras, such as ARRI, RED and Sony models, extending the range of zooms such as the Angénieux 24-290mm to 48-560mm, will also work with the Angénieux EZ-1! and EZ-2! or double the 300mm PL Red Pro Prime also available for rental at French Production Service.
